Yulong announced on Monday they have acquired unbeaten Group One winning two-year-old colt Vinrock, with the colt set to race on with trainer Matt Laurie.

The Yulong media release reads:

“Yulong is delighted to announce the acquisition of unbeaten Gr.1 Sires’ Produce winner Vinrock, with the Matt Laurie-trained colt set to race in the bottle green and white silks this coming spring.

Bred and sold by Rosemont at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, Vinrock is out of a Gr.2-winning daughter of breed shaper Redoute’s Choice, and the only colt by Champion sire I Am Invincible to win an Australian Gr.1 at two. He is also the first horse since Full On Aces in 1981 to complete the VRC-ATC Sires double, pushing his current earnings to just short of a million following three unbeaten starts.

Yulong’s partnership with trainer Matt Laurie has been nothing short of exceptional; with Matt, Kate and his team successfully campaigning homebred star Treasurethe Moment to three standout wins in the Yulong green this season.

“Yulong have been great to me, and we have already enjoyed huge success on the racecourse together with Treasurethe Moment. I’m delighted with their purchase of Vinrock, he’s a ripping colt and we’re looking forward to an exciting spring.” said Matt.

While Vinrock has already marked himself as an exceptional stallion prospect, we are hopeful that this talented colt can continue to build on his outstanding record, carrying the Yulong silks to further success later this year.”

Vinrock becomes the third high profile colt Yulong have acquired this autumn with Angel Capital and Private Harry, both by Harry Angel, also coming into their ownership after subsequent last start wins.
