$1,050,000 Extreme Choice Filly Sold by Newgate

Tara Madgwick - Monday April 7

Extreme Choice enjoyed 100% clearance at Inglis Easter with 13 yearlings offered and all were sold at an average $598,077 with a pair of million dollar colts on Sunday and then his top selling filly arrived on Monday when Newgate Farm sold a filly from Ganda for $1,050,000 to Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock.

$1,050,000 Extreme Choice filly from Ganda.

Bred in partnership by Newgate and Gooree Stud, the filly is a half-sister to Group III winner Tempt Me Not and stakes-winner Castanya being from the good producer Ganda, who has had six winners from seven foals to race.

A placed daughter of Encosta de Lago, Ganda is from a prolific Black Type family for Gooree Stud being a daughter of dual Group I winner Tempest Morn.

“She’s been a fantastic filly from day one and being a later foal we aimed her towards Easter,” said Newgate Farm’s Jim Carey.

“She’s been bought by a great judge in Dean Hawthorne and will go into a great system for GSA Bloodstock and we wish them the very best of luck.”

Ganda missed to Extreme Choice in 2023, so no foal last spring and is now in foal to his Golden Slipper winning son Stay Inside.
