Torryburn Stud is one of those farms that just keeps producing stakes-winners with two brand new ones in the past month – Mare of Mt Buller and Zouatica, plus multiple Group winner Straight Arron in HK on Sunday - adding to an impressive honour list headed by Group I superstars Home Affairs, Voyage Bubble and Espiona, so what are they bringing to Inglis Easter?

Bred and sold by Torryburn Stud is a proven recipe for success and we saw it at Rosehill two weeks ago when Dundeel four year-old Mare of Mt Buller won the Group III ATC Epona Stakes for the Chris Waller stable.

A homebred for Torryburn Stud, The Pinnacle won the G3 Epona in 2018.

It was the second time the Epona Stakes has been won by a Torryburn Stud bred mare with The Pinnacle capturing the race in the Torryburn Stud colours in 2018 and she has a colt by Home Affairs to be offered at Inglis Easter.

Lot 220

With his sire and dam both bred by Torryburn, this colt will be offered as Lot 220 and has a big pedigree update as The Pinnacle is the dam of progressive four year-old Money Team, who is undefeated for his new trainer Brad Widdup reeling off four successive wins since the start of the year.

The most recent victory for the son of I Am Invincible came in the $150,000 Midway Provincial Championship Qualifier at Gosford and will see him take his place at The Championships in the $1million Provincial Championship Final.

Home Affairs has two more colts to be offered by Torryburn.

Lot 171

Lot 171 is a handsome chestnut half-brother to two winners from stakes-winner Slots.

Lot 281

Lot 281 is a colt with a big pedigree offered on behalf of Peachester Lodge and is the second foal of unraced Pierro mare Arcadia Angel, a three-quarter sister-in-blood to triple Group I winner and $3.9million earner Arcadia Queen. It’s been a phenomenally successful family nurtured by Bob and Sandra Peters to produce a slew of other high class horses including dual Group I winner Regal Power, plus Arcadia Dream and Arcadia Prince.

Four more quality youngsters round out the draft of seven as listed below:

Lot 2 Filly Zoustar x Jedastar, by I Am Invincible

Third foal of Group III placed Jedastar, a sister to Group III placed Rulership from stakes-winner Devoirs.

Lot 221 Colt Wootton Bassett (GB) x The Soloist, by Smart Missile

By super exciting shuttle sire Wootton Bassett, who went very close to siring the Golden Slipper winner with Wodeton. Fourth foal of a winning half-sister to G1 winning Hong Kong Champion Sprinter Hot King Prawn, Group III winner Siren’s Fury and to the dam of SW First Immortal. The first three foals from the mare have all been purchased to go to Hong Kong (two by HKJC), so have been taken along quietly.

Lot 227 Filly Exceed and Excel x Tomelilla (NZ), by Tavistock

From the second last crop of foals by champion sire Exceed and Excel. Fourth foal of Group III winner Tomelilla, a full sister to Group III winner Viktor Vegas. From a daughter of Tavistock, who is making a name for himself as a broodmare sire with his daughters producing eight SW’s headed by $17.3million earning nine time Group I winner Mr Brightside.

Lot 369 Colt St Mark’s Basilica (Fr) x Fabergino, by Maschino

From the first crop of 2021 European Horse of the Year St Mark’s Basilica. Second foal of brilliant Perth Group III winning sprinter Fabergino, who proved her worth in the Eastern States with three stakes victories up the Flemington straight and a fourth in the Group I VRC Lightning Stakes. The first foal of the mare is a 2YO Wootton Bassett (GB) filly that has been retained by the breeder.
