The second crop of yearlings by Home Affairs were always going to be in demand at Magic Millions off the back of his encouraging early winners and he made a splash on Tuesday during the first session with a filly from Dance Music fetching $700,000.
Bred by Amelia Park Racing and consigned by Segenhoe Stud, the filly is the second foal of super tough Group winning racemare Dance Music, who won 12 races and over $1million with multiple Group placings adding to her impressive record.

The filly was secured by Archibald Racing Pty Ltd/William Johnson Bloodstock and Annabel and Rob Archibald are thrilled to have the filly in their stable.
“She looks very fast. Loved her when I saw her on the farm and she really improved again,” said Annabel Archibald.
“I’ve seen her a few times and every time I saw her I fell more and more in love with her.
“We’ve got a few Home Affairs at home and we think they’re very good. He’s obviously only a new sire, but he’s already doing it and she’s out of a pretty good mare.
“I knew she’d be popular and I knew we’d have to give a bit coming off one of the best studs there is. They consistently produce stakes winners and we place a lot of emphasis on the farms we buy from.
“I was getting a bit shaky up that level, but I would have regretted it if I didn’t take her home.”
The star filly is not the only Home Affairs going back to the Archibald stable as they also paid $475,000 for the Coolmore consigned colt from Alriyah.
Dance Music was a $500,000 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale purchase for Amelia Park in 2023 and she has a Capitalist filly to follow and was covered last year by Harry Angel (IRE).
