Inglis Easter – Siblings to Stars

Tara Madgwick - Friday March 28

Two three year-olds that have sailed through their races undefeated in 2025 are the Chris Waller trained super filly Lady Shenandoah and the Ciaron Maher trained rising star Shanwah and both have siblings that will be offered at Inglis Easter next week.

Lady Shehandoah has had a remarkable three year-old season starting five times for five wins with Group I victories in the ATC Coolmore Classic, Surround Stakes and Flight Stakes.

She was purchased by Hermitage Thoroughbreds from the Arrowfield draft in 2023 for $525,000 and Arrowfield will offer her half-brother by Maurice (Jpn) as Lot 187.

The colt is also a half-brother to HK Group I winner Stronger, who stands at Aquis in Queensland.

Shanwah started the year as a maiden, but dispensed with that in January before adding a Benchmark 64 win and then two more Group II wins in the MRC Autumn Classic and MVRC Alister Clark Stakes.

He was purchased from Karaka Book 1 for $750,000 from Trelawney Stud and they will offer his half-brother by Per Incanto (IUSA) at Inglis Easter as Lot 20.

The colt is also a half-brother to Group II winner Excelida and is from a half-sister to Cox Plate winning sire Ocean Park and to the dam of dual Group I winning sire Grunt.
