2024 Covering Stats – Who Covered the Expensive Purchases Last Year

Tara Madgwick - Thursday March 6

We’ve taken a look back through the most expensive mares sold at auction in Australia last year to see just what stallions they ended up going to and 12 of them were bought by Yulong and all of them went to Yulong sires bar one.

She's Extreme was one of the elite expensive mares retired to stud in 2024.

Zoustar was the most popular sire to cover these expensive mares with nine making the trek to Widden stud and I Am Invincible was next on the list with seven and then Wootton Bassett (GB) with five.
