Great Returns on Zebedee Yearlings

Media Release - Wednesday March 21
Cornerstone Stud's Zebedee (GB) has continued to turn heads with his great results at the sales this year, while continuing his march towards his first 2 year old runners.

Zebedee colt from Star of the East that made $90,000 at Inglis Premier when bought by Lindsay Park RacingWith twenty eight yearlings selling through the sales ring so far, his average is sticking at a very impressive $61,500.

Overall, Zebedee has had three yearlings sell for a top price of $130,000, with another two yearlings selling for $100,000. Zebedee is quickly becoming the breeders' friend, and is rewarding astute mare owners.

The vendors aren't the only ones ecstatic with Zebedee. Trainers such as Ryan Balfour have shown their joy in being able to secure the progeny of such an exciting young stallion.

"I have got a great feeling about Zebedee. He has done a great job overseas and he has the same bloodlines as I Am Invincible who is doing a great job in Australia," Balfour told ANZ Bloodstock News.

In Europe Zebedee was crowned both champion first and second season sire and has averaged 30 two year old runners a year.

It's not just in South Australia that Zebedee is catching the eye of top trainers. Victorian trainer Shea Eden is already a fan of Zebedee and has made sure he secured no less than 5 yearlings at the sales so far.

"I have seen all the Zebedee yearlings now and there are two things that stand out with all of them, their temperaments and their physique."
