Debut 2YO Winner for Sun City

Craig Tompson - Thursday February 27

Queensland based second season sire hasn’t had big numbers but he can certainly get a winner and he had another at Wyong on Thursday with strong finishing debutant Phyxius.

Sun City

Going into the 1200m race off just one barrier trial, the Jason Deamer trained colt settled midfield before coming with a powerful finish under Ashley Morgan in the short Wyong straight to beat Kerala (Pariah) by ¾ of a length with Uncle Barry (Tivaci) third.

Raced by his breeder and partners, Phyxius is the third foal and second winner for Magnus mare Novacastrian.
