Crossley Thoroughbreds Primed for Premier

Crossley Thoroughbreds is a comparatively new name in the Inglis Premier vendor index having made an eye-catching debut last year when they sold 14 yearlings for $1.7million and Mitch Pearce is ready to go again at Oaklands Junction with an even bigger draft this time around.

With ongoing support from satisfied clients at last year’s sale, Crossley Thoroughbreds will present a draft of 25 with a great mix of proven and promising sires sure to tempt buyers.

Toronado (IRE) provided the three top selling yearlings in the Crossley draft last year and this top class G1 sire is set to make an impact again for the team with Lot 441, a stylish bay filly from Group II placed Sayahailmary, who has had seven foals to race and all are winners.

This filly is a half-sister to Group II winner Mella Maria, the dam of this season’s Group placed three year-old Wanaruah, with the family also producing stakes-winners Vinland and Valliano.

Champion sire Written Tycoon is riding the crest of a wave with an outstanding crop of three year-olds currently flying his flag and for his many fans Lot 259 will be a must inspect as this filly from La Paris is a full sister to Group III Gold Coast Guineas winner Hightail, stakes-placed Poppin’ Champagne and speedy filly Je Suis Tycoon, who won the Warrnambool VOBIS Gold Strike.

She is a filly with a page bristling with high class fillies including Group I winners Zapateo and Dashing Eagle as well as La Caissiere, Brief Embrace and Ringa Ringa Rosie, not to mention $2.8million earning sprinter Osborne Bulls.

Lot 173 Colt Pierata x Flash of Doubt, by Not a Single Doubt

By promising young sire Pierata, who has already produced Group winning juveniles Coleman and Tobeornottobe. From Group III placed multiple winner Flash of Doubt, who has had two foals to race and both are winners with this family also producing Group III winner Puritan.

Full brother to a two time winner and is from an Irish bred unraced daughter of Group III winner Kamarinskaya, who comes from a Coolmore cultivated female family packed with Group I winners and Champion 2YO’s such as Misty for Me, Fasliyev, US Navy Flag and Ballydoyle.

Bred on the same Dundeel x Fastnet Rock cross that has produced Group winning colts King of Wall Street, Sunsets and SW Cerberus.
