Stakes Winner 35 for Dundeel

Craig Tompson - Sunday February 23

Dundeel sired his 35th stakes winner on Saturday when three year-old filly Deel Her In produced an impressive last to first finish in the Listed Challenge Stakes (1500m) at Ascot.

Ridden by Shaun O'Donnell, the Trevor Andrews trained daughter of Dundeel is in her first racing preparation and was having her fourth start when defeating Flower Of Gold (Bull Point) by ¾ of a length with All Grunt (Grunt) third.

The win takes her record to two wins and a second from the four starts, with earnings of $99,400.

Bred by Segenhoe Stud, Deel Her In was a $110,000 purchase for Belhus Racing Stables / John Price Bloodstock from Segenhoe at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

DeelHer In is the sixth foal for Redoute’s Choice mare Mining Tycoon, a half-sister to multiple Group I winner Bentley Biscuit, and becomes her second stakes winner, having left dual Listed winner Usmanov as her first foal.

She has a Capitalist two-year-old which made $300,000 at Inglis Easter and has been shipped to Hong Kong, foaled a filly by Blue Point last season and was served by Harry Angel.

There are five from the family in the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale Catalogue and two at Inglis Easter. Go here to see.
