Private Harry Half-Sister a Classic Star for Rheinwood Pastoral

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Tuesday February 4

Unbeaten three year-old Private Harry shot to fame when downing Golden Slipper winner Lady of Camelot to win the $3million Magic Millions Sunlight Plate last month and if you believe he has the potential to be a serious sprint star of the future, you’re going to be more than interested in his half-sister that will be offered at Inglis Classic next Monday morning.

By Harry Angel (IRE) from Happy Pilgrim, Private Harry was bred and sold by Rheinwood Pastoral and snapped up from their Inglis Classic draft in 2023 for $115,000 by Kurrinda Bloodstock / Doyle Racing.

Private Harry conquers the Golden Slipper winner in the Sunlight Plate!

He has since won all four starts to date for Nathan Doyle, collecting prizemoney in excess of $1.3million and while he’s not a stakes-winner yet, it seems only a matter of time before he ticks that box.

Private Harry is the best of three winners from four foals to race from Happy Pilgrim, whose current yearling, a filly by first season sire Captivant will be offered as Lot 274.

A compact chestnut built for speed, she comes from a proven Black Type female family that that has also produced Group I winner Arkady and Group winning sprinters Olonana and Paris Petard as well as Group I placed juvenile Don Corleone, who now stands at Eureka Stud

Happy Pilgrim has an outstanding weanling colt by Zousain and will be headed back to Private Harry's sire Harry Angel in 2025, so there could be more to come from this  progressive family.

She is one of seven yearlings to be offered by Rheinwood Pastoral at Riverside Stables, click to see them all with additional highlights below:

Lot 138 Colt Zousain x Defar, by Wanted

Half-brother to stakes-winner Upper Limits from a placed half-sister to Group II winner Nurse Kitchen from the family of Group I New Zealand Derby winner Hades.

Lot 364 Filly All Too Hard x Lakotadreamcatcher (USA), by Fort Prado

Fifth foal of imported US  stakes-winner that has had two foals to race and both are winners including smart metro winner Wakanjeja, a winner of over $184,000. From a solid Black Type North American family.

Lot 469 Filly Russian Camelot (IRE) x Nana Jenn, by Star Witness

From the second crop of dual Group I winner Russian Camelot and comes from a family to suggest classic races might be her forte. She is the first foal of Nana Jenn, a winning sibling to Group I VRC Melbourne Cup and $7.7million earner Vow and Declare and stakes-winning stayer Lycergus. Comes from a quality female family that has also produced Group I winners Hauraki and Kidnapped.
