As time marches on and the Danehill blood starts to get further back in pedigrees, we are seeing greater success for this pattern of breeding which for so long has divided breeders and yearling buyers.

Love it or hate it you can't ignore the facts.

So far this season there have been eight two year-old stakes-winners to carry the double cross:

Sunlight (Zoustar, 4 x 3)
Seabrook (Hinchinbrook, 3 x 4)
Enbihaar (Magnus, 3 x 3)
Nomothaj (Snitzel, 3 x 4)
Outback Barbie (Spirit of Boom, 4 x 4)
Ef Troop (Spirit of Boom, 4 x 3)
Jonker (Spirit of Boom, 4 x 3)
The Enzo (Stratum, 3 x 5)
