gavelhouse.com graduate Sacred Edge the gift that keeps on giving

Breednet - Friday March 2
gavelhouse, com graduate Sacred Edge scored his most significant win to date at Newcastle on Thursday, winning the $30,000 Newcastle 1600m Handicap for his Warwick Farm-based trainer Clare Cunningham.

Sacred Edge and Clare CunninghamWinning by a head, Sacred Edge was ridden by Cunningham's partner Jason Collett who ensured the former Chris Waller-trained galloper jump well from barrier three. The consistent gelding settled quickly and knuckled down at the 600m-mark to work his way around the leader and take the victory.

Bought online in September for $23,000, Sacred Edge has proven to be the gift that keeps on giving for Cunningham and connections with his three wins, a third and fourth placing from his five starts in the stable
taking his total earnings to $42,470 since his purchase.

Sacred Edge's win comes off the back of two winners last weekend for gavelhouse.com graduates with $18,000 buy Chez Dumonet winning at Pinjarra and $1,050 buy Ballina Bay at Nanango.
