Media Release - Saturday December 21

With the demand to sell and buy racehorses remaining high right through to the end of the year, Bloodstock Auction.com have an extra sale this year - its latest catalogue online now with buyers urged to note that the final countdown is a day more forward than usual, the bidding ending on Monday December 23.

The company's director Anthony Gafa has really been concentrating on this part of the market in recent times and has noticed a growing demand - "the site is growing members day in, day out," he said.

"We have over 23,000 members, the largest of any online thoroughbred auction house and we have continually increasing numbers of racehorses being offered in each sale."

"Our focus has always been to grow the member base to ensure the vendors are getting the best possible result."

"The Christmas catalogue has been a successful addition and we are the only online company  holding 51 auctions in a year. Due to this popularity our sales team has doubled in size since the beginning of the year and will double again by mid 2025."

Big Shooter

Lot 3 - Big Shooter

A winning five-year-old son of Shooting To Win, the half-brother to the Gr.3 placed winner Manhattan Boss has been striking dry tracks of late but has shown a real liking for rain affected going.

Lot 11 - HongKong Harmony

It was a deserved maiden victory recorded by this well related Shamardal gelding a few weeks ago and winning form is good form! Hailing from one of Europe's finest families, he is a horse who has also been placed on eight occasions.

Lot 14 - Italian Informant

A winner at Wyong and Warwick Farm and competitive without the best of luck in Victoria over the spring, this Spill The Beans gelding finished off well to record consecutive placings in September.

Lot 33 - Tizso Fab

A three time winner up to BM58 level (and there are plenty of those races around at this time of year), this five-year-old son of Astern and a stakes placed mare has good speed and tends to make his own luck. He is due to run at Werribee on Saturday and will be nicely primed to join a new stable.

Lot 38 - Albanian Icon

A winning five-year-old who has also figured in the placings on five occasions, his daughter of Holler and a Lonhro mare easily won her maiden over 1887m. In full work, she has been striking rain affected tracks of late.

Be sure to check out a very strong Christmas catalogue here.
