Expensive Zousain Filly Breaks the Ice - Brother Inglis Premier

Improved by recent racing, expensive Zousain filly Sharon Drive cast off maiden status in good style at Canterbury on Friday night bringing a welcome pedigree update for her yearling full brother that will be offered at Inglis Premier by Widden Stud.

Trained by Chris Waller, as was her sire Zousain and grand-sire Zoustar, Sharon Drive appreciated a step up to 1550m at her third run back from a spell and duly charged to the line for Tommy Berry to win by a length and a half.

A $525,000 Inglis Easter purchase from Widden Stud for Curran Bloodstock, Sharon Drive runs for Judy Wanless and is now a winner at her fourth start.

She is the second winner from well bred unraced Lonhro mare White Coolies, a half-sister to  Group II winner Splintex and stakes-winner Invictus Salute from the family of Group I winner Ozzmosis and Group II winner Learning to Fly.

Widden Stud will offer a Zousain colt from White Coolies as Lot 558 at Inglis Premier and she has produced another colt by Zousain this spring

Sharon Drive is the 15th winner this season for Zousain.
