Breeders Plate winner Khan offered for sale online

Media Release - Monday February 26

Breeders' Plate winning juvenile Khan headlines another strong Inglis Digital catalogue this month.

The Peter and Paul Snowden trained 3YO was set to trial at Randwick this morning until rain forced their postponement.

Khan is being offered for unreserved sale ( Lot 1 ) in the Inglis Digital's popular online auction format, held on the last Wednesday of each month.

The flashy son of Exceed and Excel claimed the Listed Breeders Plate at Randwick in impressive fashion, at his very first start in October 2016.

The victory over Condor Heroes and eventual Group 1 Inglis Sires' Produce winner Invader, propelled Khan into early favouritism for the 2017 Golden Slipper.Khan

A $260,000 yearling purchase, Khan is out of a Daylami half-sister to three-time Group I winner Manighar and is lightly raced with just four starts.

His recent trial performances have indicated that Khan is returning to form, having shown so much promise as a precocious 2YO.

The February Online Auction catalogue features 100 lots and follows on from January's record breaking sale, with a clearance rate of 84 percent and more than $1 million gross.
