One to Watch – Kembla - Full Brother Inglis Classic

Tara Madgwick - Thursday December 12

With six winners in the past week highlighted by exciting three year-old filly Bauhinia, Hellbent is going great guns heading towards the sales season and posted an impressive maiden  winner at Kembla on Thursday.

Trained by Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald, three year-old gelding Tomba has been given time to mature and was having just his second start in the 1400m maiden following a debut sixth at Hawkesbury last month.

Ridden quietly by Tyler Shiller, he powered home from back in the field doing his best work on the line to win by nearly two lengths to become the 60th winner for his sire this season.

Tomba was bred and sold by Yarraman Park fetching $290,000 at Magic Millions.

A $290,000 Magic Millions purchase for Yes Bloodstock/Group 1 Bloodstock from the Yarraman Park draft, Tomba is a half-brother to stakes-placed Stellar Magic and is the fifth winner from stakes-placed Magic Albert mare Al’s Magic Miss.

Yarraman Park will offer a full brother to Tomba at Inglis Classic as Lot 10.

Al’s Magic Miss has foaled this spring producing a colt by Brave Smash (Jpn).

Yarraman Park's Hellbent has 19 entries for Magic Millions and 30 for Inglis Classic.
