I Am Invincible's Overshare Claims Zeditave Stakes

Mark Smith - Saturday February 24

Spendthrift Farm's I Am Invincible colt Overshare held the challenge of his Hawkes Racing stablemate Wild Heart to claim Saturday's Group III Zeditave Stakes at Caulfield.

Given a positive ride by Dwayne Dunn, Overshare defeated Wild Heart (Hinchinbrook) by a long-neck with Streets Of Avalon (Magnus) a head back in third. (photo Grant Courtney ).

Ben Mellham on third placegetter Streets Of Avalon lodged a protest against the first two, which was dismissed.

Winner of the Listed McKenzie Stakes at Moonee Valley back in August last year, Overshare advances his record to 3 wins and 1 second from 9 starts with earnings of $246,450.

A $320,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Spendthrift Australia from the Victoria Park draft, Overshare is the first winner for Group III placed Redoute's Choice mare Savannah's Choice, who is a half-sister to Champion Japanese 3YO Filly Cesario, the dam of Japan Cup winner Epiphania and the 2015 Champion 2YO Japanese Colt Leontes.

Savannah's Choice produced a colt by More Than Ready (USA) last spring and was bred back to Golden Slipper winner Capitalist.

I Am Invincible has 14 lots catalogued for the Inglis Premier and 41 heading to the Easter Yearling Sale.
