Presscott provides the ultimate parting gift

Media Release - Saturday February 24
The Chris Waller-trained Prescott, who is currently for unreserved sale on gavelhouse, com, produced a nice parting gift for his owners while boosting his value with a win at Gosford on Thursday.

PresscottHaving just his third run this preparation,
Presscott jumped smartly from the barriers and settled in a mid-field position against his Class 1 opposition over the Gosford mile. He then quickened around the field in the last 400m to pull clear close to home with an impressive length and a quarter winning margin.

A loyal supporter of gavelhouse.com auctions, trainer Chris Waller is represented by three horses in the current sale and commented on Friday morning "Presscott is a sound horse who has pulled up well from his win."

"We're in the fortunate position where we are upgrading a lot of our stock at the moment and while Presscott will win more races, he is being sold to make room for other horses in the stable."

"We pride ourselves on buying sound horses, we pride ourselves on looking after our horses well and we pride ourselves on selling horses that can still go on and win races as a result of how we look after them," surmised the Champion Trainer.

Presscott has now won two and placed twice from 16 starts for $56,325 in prize-money and has an indicative rating after his win of 62. He is a son of five-time Group One winner Jimmy Choux and is out of three time winner Shadow Ray who has also produced two stakes-winning half-siblings in Karaka Million winner Ockham's Razor - Choice Treasure and Jungle Juice.

The auction is set to close from 7pm AEDT on Monday 26 February. Register online at
