First Winner for Anders – Full Brother MM 2025

Tara Madgwick - Saturday December 7

Widden Stud’s Anders posted his first winner with the Kris Lees trained filly Wisnierska making a winning debut at Newcastle on Saturday bringing a timely pedigree update for her full brother, who is entered for Magic Millions 2025.

Wisnierska was easy in the market after finishing fourth in her only previous trial, but saved her best for race day with a strong finishing run for Andrew Gibbons to take the 900m maiden by three-quarters of a length.

Retained to race by her breeders, Wisnierska is the first foal of winning Street Boss (USA) mare Fact or Fable, a grand-daughter of Group III winner Country Lodge, who comes from the family of Group I winning sprinter Flamberge and Group winners Razor Blade, Sunburnt Land, Durendal and Sword of Light.

Her second foal is a colt by Anders that will be offered at Magic Millions by Murrulla Stud as Lot 1174.

Fact or Fable has foaled again this spring producing a filly by another of the young Widden sires in Doubtland, who has a similar profile to Anders being a fast Group winning son of Not a Single Doubt.

Anders is on the board!

Anders has 22 entries for Magic Millions next month and 10 for Inglis Classic.
