Is it a Blue Diamond sign?

Craig Tompson - Friday February 23
If you're a believer in signs then here's something that might pique your interest for tomorrow's Blue Diamond Stakes.

Jessica Ennis HillIt's fair to say that Breednet editor Tara Madgwick, currently gallivanting about in New York, is very much one for signs so when bloodstock agent James Bester sent her this picture she had to act.

Bester is a part-owner of Blue Diamond runner Ennis Hill, named after the champion British athlete, Jessica Ennis Hill, winner of the gold medal in Heptahlon at the London Olympic Games.

That's her on the right. Striding to victory, and sporting on her bib an unmistakeable blue diamond!

Tara says it's accompanied by a tick too. I thought maybe it was the Nike swoosh but having learned long ago not to ignore her signs, I'm happy to go with the tick.

So we have the sign, and we also have a filly coming off a particularly impressive win in the Gr3 Chairman's Plate last start which sees her on the second line of betting at $8.

She nearly picks herself!
