Hungry Heart was bred by Yulong and offered at the 2019 Magic Millions where they bought her back for $300,000 and sent her to the stables of Chris Waller.

The first foal of imported Pivotal mare Harlech (GB), who was bought by Yulong from the Tattersalls July Sale back in 2016 for 60,000 guineas, Hungry Heart proved a natural runner. She won the Group II ATC Sweet Embrace Stakes at two before training on to win the Group I ATC Australian Oaks and Vinery Stud Stakes.

Hungry Heart was retired to Yulong in 2022 and leaves behind her two colts by Written Tycoon and while her passing has been a tragic blow for the farm, they do have other members of the family to go on with.

Her dam Harlech has a yearling colt by Written Tycoon and her half-sister Beautiful Heart (by Snitzel) has also foaled for the first time this year producing a colt by Written Tycoon.
