Star Kiwi Filly Out for the Season

Media Release - Thursday February 15
Top filly Dijon Bleu is out of the Group I Al Basti Equiworld Dubai New Zealand Oaks (2400m) and won't race again this season.

Dijon BleuShe was the pre-post favourite for the Trentham feature following her hollow win in the Gr.2 Sir Tristram Fillies' Classic (2000m) at Te Rapa.

"Dijon Bleu has been officially withdrawn from the New Zealand Oaks today and will be turned out for the rest of the season," trainer Lisa Latta said.

"We thought after the Waikato race she had simply knocked a leg, but after consultation with my vet and taking the horse's best interest into consideration, we have decided it is best to send her for a spell. We are looking forward to seeing her back as a four-year-old."- NZ RAcing Desk
