Record Earnings for Snitzel

Tara Madgwick - Monday February 12
The introduction of the $10million The Everest to the Australian racing season has added a new dimension to the quest to become Australia's champion sire by earnings.

The inaugural winner Redzel has helped propel his sire Snitzel to an unassailable lead on the Australian General Sires List with his current earnings of $16,447,501 already surpassing his total for 2016/2017 of $16,220,135, which was a record.

Snitzel also leads the three year-old sires list for winners, stakes-winners and earnings, but is yet to assert his superiority over the two year-olds with that division dominated by the young gun sires Zoustar and Spirit of Boom.
