Trained by Alex Rae and ridden by Ethan Brown, Lofty Arch was having just his third race start following a debut win at Cranbourne last month and then a good fifth in the Group II VRC Danehill Stakes.

He was ridden a positive race from a wide gate and was too strong to the line winning by half a length over late finishing Ilovethiscity filly Lovelycut.

A $200,000 Inglis Easter purchase from Twin Hills Stud for The Lofty Thoroughbreds Group Pty Ltd, Lofty Arch was bred by Woodpark Stud. He is a half-brother to stakes-winner The Blue Yes and Group placed filly See You Soon being the second stakes-winner among seven winners from eight to race from Group III winning import Soneva (USA), who is now retired.

Lofty Arch was a $200,000 Inglis Easter purchase from Twin Hills Stud.

Lofty Arch is the 149th stakes-winner for Arrowfield Stud’s champion sire Snitzel.
