Three year-old gelding Furore won at Taree last month on debut and when stepped up to 1570 metres and put into Class Two company thrashed the opposition to win running away by four lengths as a red hot favourite.

A $210,000 NZB Premier purchase from the Haunui Farm draft for Australian Bloodstock/ Lees Racing, Furore is a half-brother to Hong Kong Group III winner Blizzard and is the third winner from Stormy Choice, a three-quarter-sister to Group I winner Danestorm.

Pierro is the leading Australian second crop sire by winners, prizemoney and stakes-winners, the Golden Slipper winning son of Lonhro represented by nine yearlings at Inglis Classic this week.
