Trained by Anthony Cummings and ridden by Josh Parr, Livin’ Thing has been given a good grounding with three trials last month including a win at Randwick.

Chiba led for home, but Livin’ Thing unleashed a big run from back in the field, charging past the opposition to win by nearly three lengths in a dominant display with the favourite fading for third.

Livin’ Thing was a $120,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Fernrigg Farm draft for Anthony Cummings Thoroughbreds / Colm Santry Bloodstock and runs for an ownership group that also includes members of the Bax family who bred him.
