Blue hen Mica’s Pride delivered the latest winner for leading Australian second crop sire Pierro at Wyong on Sunday.

Follow On pictured as a foal at Coolmore in 2014Retained to race by his breeder Sir Owen Glenn, three year-old Pierro gelding Follow On was making his debut in the 1600 metre maiden.

Given a solid grounding by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott with three recent trials under his belt, Follow On led all the way for Tim Clark and kept finding to the line to win by a long neck.

Follow On is the ninth winner from nine foals to race from Group III winner Mica’s Pride, howse long list of successful offspring is headed by $7million earner and four-time Grouyp I winner Criterion, Group II winner Varenna Miss, Group III winner Comin’ Through and stakes-winner Silently, the dam of South African Group III winner Muwaary.

Mica’s Pride produced a filly by Sebring last year, a full sister to Criterion, and was subsequently covered by Snitzel.
