Barrier Draw Confirms Karaka Million Fields

A live barrier draw at Karaka's iconic Sales Centre has confirmed the final fields for Saturday's $1 million Karaka Million 2YO and $1 million Karaka Million 3YO Classic at Ellerslie.

Avantage - Trish DunnellThe end result has been a mixed bag for the early favourites with Avantage(Fastnet Rock) who has won all three of her starts drawing in the middle with barrier five and the stakes winner Sir Nate(NZ) (Nadeem) drawing wide at barrier 13 in the Karaka Million 2YO.

A similar theme was evident in the three-year-old race with the Group 1-winning Savabeel coltEmbellish(NZ) who is set to stand at Cambridge Stud drawing wide at barrier 13 andSavvy Coup(NZ) (Savabeel) faring well drawing on the inside at barrier three in the Karaka Million 3YO Classic.

The Chris Waller-trainedScream Park(NZ) (Ocean Park) is the only Australian-based horse to come across the Tasman and will contest the Karaka Million 3YO Classic from barrier 12 with the world's best jockey Hugh Bowman guiding the colt.

While Bowman is the only international jockey to ride in either of the $1 million features, he will also ride the stakes winning coltAl Hasa(NZ) (Exceed and Excel) from another wide barrier (10) in the Karaka Million 2YO.

Hello It's Me(NZ) (Darci Brahma) andDijon Bleu(NZ) (Burgundy) were both nominated for the Karaka Million 3YO Classic; however, have both withdrawn.
