A short priced favourite for the 1200m maiden following a good debut fourth at the same venue last month, Si Si Milano ran right up to expectation when he forged clear under Blake Shinn to win by nearly two lengths.

“I needed to get him out of the barriers better than he did on debut, which he did today and then took up a closer position giving himself a much better chance to win the race,” said Shinn.

“He did the job nicely at his second start and is still learning so he has plenty of upside.”
