again in recent stakes starts and scored a well-deserved win in the 1200 metre
sprint.Ridden by Blake Shinn, the son of Snitzel scored a long head win taking his overall record to six wins from 16 starts with prizemoney topping $545,000.
Purchased by China Horse Club/ Michael Wallace Bloodstock from the Yarraman Park draft, Calanda is a half-brother to Group II winners Silverstream and Speedy Natalie and is the seventh winner from stakes-winner Speedy Bell, who died in 2016.
