Oscietra showed her customary early speed in a 800m jumpout at Flemington on Friday, just shading the James Cummings-trained Viking Raid in 49.94 seconds.

It is the second jumpout this preparation for the once-raced Oscietra and co-trainer David Hayes said the filly is likely to be at the races next Friday.

"Luke (Nolen) was really happy with her and provided she pulls up well and eats this week she will resume at Geelong on the all-weather," Hayes, who trains Oscietra in partnership with son Ben and nephew Tom Dabernig, said.

"We took her there for a jumpout and she loved it and works well on it at home so we'll probably kick her off next Friday."

Oscietra finished third behind Limestone over 1000m on debut at Flemington on January 1.
