$2million for Ruthless Dame and Heads to Japan

Ciaron Maher and his clients got a massive result with their Group I winning mare Ruthless Dame, who was a savvy purchase for her trainer as a yearling from Karaka Book 1 in 2021 for just $90,000.

Ruthless Dame sold for $2million.

The daughter of Tavistock, showed natural speed to win her first two starts as a juvenile including the Group III VRC Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes before training on to win the Group I SAJC Robert Sangster Stakes.

She was purchased by leading Japanese breeder Katsumi Yoshida for $2million and will join a long list of Australasian Group I winning mares that have gone to stud in Japan.

Ruthless Dame has a serious Black Type pedigree that includes triple Group I winning Fastnet Rock mare Sea Siren, the dam of triple Group I winning mare Warm Heart.
