Six Aussie Entries for Dubai Cup Carnival

Six Australian horses are among the entries for the 2018 Dubai World Cup carnival.

From January 11 through to the final day of the UAE racing season on March 31, horses from around the world will converge on Dubai and compete for a share in more than $US40 million in prizemoney.

Music MagnateThe $US30 million Dubai World Cup night meeting will be held at Meydan on March 31 and could feature a handful of Australian visitors including Bjorn Baker's 's Group I-winning sprinter Music Magnate and the Mick Kent-trained Supido.

The pair are likely to contest the Group I Al Quoz Sprint (1200m), the same race won by compatriots Buffering and Ortensia in 2016 and 2012 respectively.

Australia's other potential runners are Supido's Group I-placed stablemate Wyndspelle, as well as Lindsay Park Racing trio Faatinah, Shaf, and Mutamayel for international clients Shadwell Stud.

The globally-recognised carnival has also attracted entries from the UK, France, Germany, Ireland, Denmark, Bahrain, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Singapore, South Africa and Sweden.
