Winning Double for So You Think

Former champion racehorse and now leading sire So You Think top and tailed the Kembla meeting on Wednesday siring two very promising maiden winners to win the first race and the last.

After Thought as a yearlingRobert and Like Price tasted success in the opening race, winning the 1300 metre maiden with three year-old filly After Thought, who was very much an afterthought for punters!

After Thought showed little form in two runs last August, but showed a glimmer of potential when resuming from a spell for fourth at Goulburn last month.

Ridden forward in this race by Winona Costin, After Thought led for home and ran away to win by three and a half lengths in a dominant display.

Now that she's broken the ice, After Thought will be onwards and upwards.

A $45,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainer Robert Price from the Bell View Park draft, After Thought is the second winner from US stakes-winner Libor Lady (USA).

The Mark Newnham trained filly Righteousness rang up the double for So You Think, scoring a half neck win at her second start over 1500 metres.

Righteousness as a yearlingShe was favourite when making her debut last month at Hawkesbury, but blew the start and finished fourth, so connections will be pleased to see her back on track with a win.

A $41,000 Inglis Easter Session II purchase from the Riversdale Farm draft for Mystery Downs, Righteousness is the first winner for Goolash, a half-sister by Encosta de Lago to Group II winner Curved Ball and stakes-winner Isopach.

Coolmore's superstar son of High Chaparral (IRE), So You Think has good representation at upcoming sales with 21 for Magic Millions, 13 for Inglis Classic and 17 for Inglis Premier.
