Ruthless Dame is another G1 winning mare to be offered at the Gold Coast next week.
An unbeaten Group winner as a two-year-old, Ruthless Dame finished a nose second to Sunshine in Paris (defeating In Secret and others) in the Group One Surround Stakes at just her fourth start.

Two runs later she beat a stunning line of fillies and mares in the Group One Robert Sangster Stakes at Morphettville. Among those finishing behind were genuine Group One stars Bella Nipotina, Espiona, September Run, Marabi, Chain of Lightning and Roch 'n' Horse.

During her short racetrack career to date Ruthless Dame has raced in the colours of managing part owner Campbell Stott and he said his star would present an incredible opportunity for buyers.

"We are excited to offer our Group One winner Ruthless Dame, the only two-year-old stakes winner by Tavistock at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale," Stott said.

"Tavistock is making his mark as a Broodmare Sire with the likes of Mr Brightside, Mercurial, Straight Arron - and with such a beautiful international pedigree and racing upside we are confident Ruthless Dame will do the same."

"Ruthless Dame has competed against the very best in her career to date, racing in Group One company seven times from just 16 starts with an explosive Group One win in the strongest edition of the Sangster ever assembled, and narrow photo finish second in the Group One Surround Stakes behind Sunshine in Paris."

"We have never shirked racing her against the very best, where she showed tenacity, turn of foot and courage that was deserving of the accolades she received," Stott added.

Ruthless Dame will be offered as an elite racing and breeding prospect through the Ciaron Maher Racing draft. She will go under the hammer late on Day One of the National Broodmare Sale next Tuesday, May 28 as Lot 624.

As well as her first class race record, Ruthless Dame possesses a wonderful black type filled family that is proven in all corners of the globe.

Her dam, the stakes performer Ruthless Lady, is a daughter of former crack juvenile Lady Dehere and half sister to triple South African group winner Oracy and fellow stakes winners Lady Maroal and The Lady.

Lady Dehere a half sister to Sea Siren, the triple Group One winning dam of the recently retired international superstar Warm Heart. She is one of Coolmore's most valuable young broodmares and headed to stud after winning the Group One Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational Stakes earlier this year.

Meanwhile, multiple stakes performed Rubick mare Rubicon Crossing has also joined the supplementary catalogue for Day One of the National Broodmare Sale.

Twice stakes placed in New Zealand as a juvenile, Rubicon Crossing more recently showed her quality by winning at Victorian metropolitan level at Mornington in great style.

A black type performer in her own right, Rubicon Crossing from a stakes performed daughter of multiple Group One winner Foxwood.

The National Broodmare Sale catalogue now features almost 200 stakes performed fillies or mares to go under the hammer from May 28 to 30.

"Ruthless Dame is yet another outstanding addition to what is a truly world class breeding stock sale," Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said. "We thank the connections of all fillies and mares that we will be offering next week for entrusting us with offering their stars at auction."

The sales action on the Gold Coast will commence on Sunday with Day One of the National Weanling Sale to commence at 11am (QLD time).
