Alma Vale Thoroughbreds produced the highest priced youngster at the recent Inglis Australian Weanling Sale when their I Am Invincible filly from Shoko sold for $575,000 and they head to the Gold Coast for the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale (May 26,27) with another quality draft of three appealing colts.

Home Affairs is one of the most exciting first season sires in the weanling market this year and his strapping chestnut colt from Iiex Excelsa (IRE) makes plenty of appeal.

Lot 123

Offered as Lot 123, the colt is the third foal of a stakes-placed imported half-sister to multiple Group II winner Gibraltar Blue and Group III winner Scream Blue Murder.

The first two foals from the mare were both sold as weanlings at this sale and remain unraced. The first was a Frankel filly (now 3YO) that made $530,000 in 2021 when bought by Bruce Mackenzie and the second was a Pierro colt that made $160,000 when snapped up by Kiwi based pinhookers Carlaw Park, who turned a good profit on him when he sold at Karaka Book 1 for $280,000.

Lot 241

Lot 241 is an attractive bay colt from the second crop of Champion Japanese 2YO Admire Mars (Jpn) from stakes-placed Cacique mare Readings.

His dam has already produced two winners and she has a  quality European pedigree being from Group I placed stakes-winner Erudite with the family producing Group I winners Ventura, Emblem Road, Queen Supreme and VRC Australian Cup winner Harlem.

Lot 331

Lot 331 is a colt from the second crop of speedy Brazen Beau son North Pacific from Thunder Raider, a metro winner of over $200,000 from Group III placed Lady Sophia.

North Pacific yearlings have sold for up to $420,000 this year and he had 15 sell at Magic Millions at an average $137,000 and 14 sell at Inglis Classic an average $105,964.
