Ridden by Daniel Stackhouse, she kept up a good gallop to the line to win the 1200m juvenile maiden by half a length.

A modest $50,000 Inglis Premier purchase from Widden Stud for Phillip Stokes Racing / Rick Connolly Bloodstock, The Dabble Effect is the second winner from well related Street Sense (USA) mare Prismatic, an unraced half-sister to Group I winner Paulele and Group winners Tessera and Montsegur, the dam of Group winners Corniche and Heresy.

The Dabble Effect is the eighth winner – one in NZ- for Zousain, who has had a slight increase in fee this year and will stand at Widden at a fee of  $27,500, up from $22,000 last year.
