Jett Propelled Naval College Triumphs in January Cup

A milestone for Jett Stanley as Naval College (GB) provided the apprentice with a first stakes success with a minimum of fuss in the $200,000 James Squire January Cup (2000m) at Rosehill.

Trained by Annabel Neasham, the Highclere Thoroughbreds colour-bearer defeated Riyazan (IRE) (Iffraaj) by three and three-quarter lengths with Lord Ardmore (Reliable Man) a long-neck back in third

A homebred for Queen Elizabeth II, Naval College stated four times for Sir Michael Stoute, winning on the all-weather at Lingfield and was runner-up at Yarmouth and Salisbury. With his fourth win in his adopted homeland, the 5-year-old son of Dartmouth advances his record to five wins,  four seconds, and one third from 12 starts with earnings of $365,760.
