Juvenile Trial Watch - Warwick Farm

Tara Madgwick - Thursday November 30

There were originally going to be some super interesting juvenile trials at Canterbury on Thursday morning, but Sydney’s wild weather forced them to move to the polytrack at Warwick Farm and as a result there were many scratchings with only a couple of trials that actually took place, but that was enough for us to get a look at a couple of youngsters likely to give Tassort his next winner.

With three winners from five runners, Newgate Farm’s Tassort has shown he can get an early runner and he had the quinella in this heat with the John Sargent trained Tokyo Lady improving on her first trial third at Randwick on November 20 to edge out Cashaway Gold, who was having her first trial.

A $50,000 Inglis Classic Highway Session purchase for Tricolours Racing & Syndications from the Cannon Hayes Stud draft, Tokyo Lady is form Little Geisha, a winning three-quarter sister by Danehill Dancer (IRE) to John Sargent’s former star staying filly Gust of Wind, who famously defeated Winx in the Group I ATC Australian Oaks.

Tokyo Lady was a $50,000 Inglis Classic purchase.

Sargent will no doubt be hoping this filly can be just as successful.
