French Group Three Winner for Dream Ahead

Tara Madgwick - Thursday November 2
Aquis Farm's Dream Ahead (USA) posted his third new stakes-winner this week when talented two year-old filly Sweety Dream took out the Group III Prix Miesque at Maisons-Laffitte on Wednesday.

Dream AheadA winner at Chantilly on debut in September, Sweety Dream was out of a place at her next start at the same venue, but bounced back to from in this 1400 metre contest.

She tracked the leaders before working into the clear and tried hard to the line to win by a short neck.

For Australian breeders, Sweety Dream is of interest as she is the best of four winners from Group III placed Excellent Girl, a daughter of champion Australian sire Exceed and Excel.

Sweety Dream is the 15th stakes-winner for champion sprinter Dream Ahead, who posted a European stakes double over the weekend with Peach Melba and Gold Tail.

Dream Ahead stands at Aquis Farm at Murrurrundi at a fee of $19,800.
