Fee Raised for Frankel

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday November 1
Recent Group I winner Cracksman put the icing on the cake for exciting young sire Frankel, whose fee has been raised on the back of a sensational start to his stud career.

FrankelJuddmonte's Banstead Manor Stud have increased his fee to 175,000 pounds (up from 125,000 pounds), which converts to around $A303,000.

Frankel's first two crops have produced 65 winners around the world including two in Australia with 20 stakes-winners headed by Cracksman and his Japanese Group I winner Soul Stirring.

His stakes-winners to runners ration runs at an impressive 15.7%, although the exceptional quality of mares he has covered would be a contributing factor to that high figure… it does take two to tango!

Frankel's racetrack rival Nathaniel, the sire of the best horse in Europe this year in Enable, has also had a small fee increase at Newsells Park.

By Galileo as is Frankel, Nathaniel will stand for 20,000 pounds, up from 17,500 pounds.
