JAUNTY (Kembla Grange 28/10/2017)
Lightly-raced son of O’Reilly that I doubt was suited by a sit-and-sprint over 1200m at Kembla last start. The four-year-old travelled strongly out the back of the small field before tracking into the race three-wide. Had to make her run down the extreme outside and did a good job to finish three-quarters of a length away in fourth. That was her first unplaced run in four starts and with a bit more tempo over possibly 1400m next start, she will be hard to beat.
Career record (4:0-3-0).

SASUBA (Hawkesbury 26/10/2017)
Three-year-old filly that featured in what looked a strong maiden at Hawkesbury – the first three placegetters are all siblings to Group I winners! This daughter of Stratum is a half-sister to Hong Kong Group I winner Lucky Bubbles and think it was an admirable effort to run third after coming widest on the turn which is often hard to do at Hawkesbury. Gives the impression she could get further than 1300m and the higher in distance you go in maidens, the easier it gets.
Career record (2:0-0-1).

BLOWING KISSES (Warwick Farm 25/10/2017)
Always liked this filly but hasn’t quite been able to put it all together on raceday. Her trials have shown she has obvious ability. Returned as a four-year-old mare at this midweek meeting and was outstanding finishing second after coming from back in the field in a race where they dashed home in 33.90 for the last 600m. Think riding her conservatively could be the key to unlocking her potential and fortunately her relatively low benchmark of 70 means she is still well placed in midweek company despite contesting stakes races as a three-year-old.
Career record (7:2-2-0).
