Redoute's Choice 150 Not Out

Redoute's Choice has been playing second fiddle to his headline-hogging sons Snitzel and Not A Single Doubt of late, however, the Arrowfield Stud legend continues to churn out the stakes winners, the latest of which is the Bob and Sandra Peters homebred Perfect Jewel.

The 3yo filly made it from three in winning Saturday's $100,000 Listed Belgravia Stakes (1200m) at Ascot.

Ridden by William Pike for trainers Grant and Alana Williams, Perfect Jewel found a perfect spot tracking Art Series and Epic Grey.

Perfect Jewel pounced down the straight but found two willing combatants and was all out to defeat Epic Grey by a half-length with Art Series a nose back in third.

Perfect Jewel is the third foal and third stakes winner out of the Listed stakes winner Star Encounter (Jeune) who placed in the WA Oaks, WA Derby and Strickland Stakes on the way to compiling a record of eight wins and seven placings from 30 starts with earnings of $563,090.

Her first foal Star Exhibit (Statue Of Liberty) is the winner of three stakes races highlighted by the Group II Perth Cup while Perfect Jewels full-sister Royal Star won the Listed Natasha Stakes back in March before finishing second in the WA Oaks.

Perfect Jewel becomes the 150th stakes winner for Redoute's Choice who is covering his 18th book of mares at Arrowfield Stud for a fee of $137,500.
