Redzel Gets Ready to Rumble Again

Media Release - Tuesday October 24

REDZEL, the winner of the first running of the $10 Million The Everest, arrived in Melbourne on Monday and will have a jump out on the Flemington course proper on Friday morning ahead of his next engagement in the Darley Classic over 1200m on November 11.

RedzelRedzel held off the fast-finishing Vega Magic to win the richest race on turf over 1200m at Randwick on October 14, and has arrived along with his regular strapper at the Snowden Racing stables in Melbourne in terrific condition, according to co-trainer Peter Snowden.

"Redzel arrived in Melbourne Monday morning and looks in excellent order," said Snowden.

"Kerrin McEvoy was on him this morning for a little bit of pace work and got off him saying he feels great.

McEvoy will again be aboard the son of Snitzel on Friday, with Redzel having once again a month between races where he is at his imperious best.

"He will have a jump out on the Flemington straight on Friday. That gives us two weeks before he races but it will be good to refresh his memory of the straight. It's a track you can never get too used to," added Snowden.

"He's in excellent shape and is enjoying life. He's travelled well and looks well and we look forward to his jump out on Friday."
