Six Winners in Four Days

Coolmore's Golden Slipper winner Pierro kept the ball rolling on Tuesday when siring his sixth winner in the past four days with a Kilmore success for Meazza.

PierroStepped up in trip to 1450 metres, the Matt Ellerton and Simon Zahra trained gelding found the journey to his liking and powered clear to win by two lengths.

A $40,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Ellerton Zahra Racing from the Waratah Thoroughbreds draft, Meazza is the first winner for Floor Show, a metropolitan winning Stravinsky (USA) mare from the family of French Group I winner Alberto Giacometti.

Meazza is the 11th Australian winner this season for Pierro, who leads the Australian Second Season Sires list by earnings and has two stakes-winners on the board in Pinot and Satin Slipper.

The Champion Australian First Season sire of 2016/2017, Pierro is picking up where he left off and stands this spring at a fee of $49,500.
