Impressive Winner for Harry Angel

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday September 20

Darley shuttler Harry Angel (IRE) has a narrow lead on the second season sires list by earnings and added an impressive new winner to his tally at Doomben on Wednesday with hot favourite Action King winning in a breeze.

Trained by Kelly Schweida for Ron and Judy Wanless, Action King was a close third on debut earlier this month and obviously took improvement from that outing to post a dominant win in the 1050m maiden.

Action King led for home under Jamie Orman and opened up to win by more than four lengths and breaking 33 for his last 600m.

A $140,000 Karaka Book 1 purchase for KPW Bloodstock from the Carlaw Park draft, Action King is  the first winner for well related import Arababian Gift (IRE, a placed Dubawi mare from the family of dual Group I winner and sire Golan.

Action King was a $140,000 Karaka Book 1 purchase.

He is the fifth winner this season for Harry Angel, who is back at Darley NSW this spring at a fee of $33,000.
