First Public Outing for Black Caviar Colt

Tara Madgwick - Friday October 20

Expectation weighs heavy on Black Caviar's second foal Prince Of Caviar, who continued his education with an easy jumpout at Flemington on Friday.

Prince Of Caviar finished last of the six. The jump out was won by an unnamed Unencumbered colt trained by Russell and Scott Cameron over the Lindsay Perk Racing-trained Lady Pommery in 49.41 seconds.

The Hawkes Racing-trained Prince Of Caviar was only beaten three lengths and not put under pressure.

"Ignoring that he's a Black Caviar foal, putting him into the bracket of just being one of our babies – he does everything right, great attitude, moves well, he is a really nice colt," Michael Hawkes, who trains in partnership with his father John and brother Wayne, told Racenet when the horse was last in work.

Black Caviar has  foaled this spring producing a filly by More Than Ready (USA), her fourth consecutive foal.
