Sebring Sun 3YO Impresses with Maiden Victory

Mark Smith - Monday August 21

Following a luckless second on debut at Muswellbrook on August 11, the 3yo Sebring Sun gelding Hot Bandit launched late to open his account over 1100m at Scone on Monday.

Ridden by Mitchell Bell for Luke Pepper, Hot Bandit railed up after a slow start to be a threatening fourth turning for home.

Eased out to find clear running, Hot Bandit hit the line strongly to defeat the Trapeze Artist filly Sky Artist by a neck, with the I Am Invincible 4yo entire Imran a half-length back in third.

The Wilson family homebred is the second winner from seven to race for the winning Red Ransom (USA) mare, She’s Red Hot, a half-sister to stakes-winner Miss Galilei (Galileo) and stakes-placed Make it Raine (New Approach), from the famed belle family.
