Debut Winner for Trapeze Artist

Tara Madgwick - Thursday July 20

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Trapeze Artist filly Lady of Poise has had a good grounding at the barrier trials and made a winning debut at Kembla on Thursday.

She won her most recent trial at Randwick at the end of last month and produced a sizzling finish for Regan Bayliss to charge home out wide and win the 1000m juvenile maiden by three-quarter of a length beating Nicconi filly Well Timed with Written By filly Lady Jezam in third place to give Widden based sires the trifecta.

Lady of Poise was passed in as a yearling retained to race by her breeder Zonghli Thoroughbreds and is the second winner from Group II winning juvenile Blueberry Hill, a Myboycharlie (IRE) grand-daughter of stakes-winner Brief Kiss.

Her yearling full sister was sold at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale Book 2 this year for $60,000 to David Pfieffer Racing Pty Ltd/Koolman Bloodstock.
